FAQ

Do I need to sign up for Summer Bridge this summer?

Yes, you need to sign up for one of the Summer Bridge sessions.

Do I need to attend all days Summer Bridge is offered?

Students only need to attend one day.  Students are required to stay for the full day that they attend.

Is Summer Bridge required?  What if I did Running Start?

Yes, all Promise students are required to attend one Summer Bridge day, including students who earned credit through the Running Start program. Students who do not attend Summer Bridge will not be able to participate in Seattle Promise or receive Seattle Promise scholarship funds.

Who is my Retention Specialist and when will we meet?

You will be able to see your assigned Seattle Promise Retention Specialist when you login to Starfish. They will also be at Summer Bridge so you'll meet them there. You can schedule a meeting before Summer Bridge if you want using Starfish.

What if I am unable to attend the scheduled in-person events?

Promise Scholars are invited to sign up for Summer Bridge in June and are encouraged to clear their schedules in advance. Students with inflexible conflicts with the scheduled in-person events can request to attend an alternative virtual Summer Bridge session.  Please note, the virtual session is the last opportunity for Seattle Promise students to complete the Summer Bridge requirement.
